Impressive two-day programme and breakout festival including networking, pitching, and funding at ISLEXPO 2017.
Building on the outstanding success of the inaugural ISLEXPO event, the remit was to now showcase the Isle of Man as a great place to live and work for growing businesses across a range of sectors.
The new "growth" theme needed to resonate throughout the event. The team wholly embraced this by growing the event in terms of programme, design and production across the whole event. The conference itself grew, extending to two days and launching the popular Garden Hub, where interactive talks and content featured in an informal festival atmosphere. Delegates immersed themselves in pop-up talks, workshops, panels and pitching, alongside inspirational keynotes including well-known BBC travel journalist Simon Reeve, who provided uplifting insight into the benefits of business and lifestyle in a Unesco Biosphere region, such as the Isle of Man.
Delegate numbers increased by 40% from the inaugural year, and sponsorship income doubled with engagement from 25 sponsors and partners. The result for the client and Island could not have been more positive.
